What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) On August 7, 2001, at approximately 2345 central daylight time, Beech K-35, N5397E, the LH MLG collapsed following the landing rollout at Omaha Millard Airport runway 12. The PIC and 2 passengers reported no injury. Subsequent investigation disclosed that the LH MLG retract rod, Beech pn 35-815125-12, failed when the PIC maneuvered from the active runway. Conditions strongly suggest that the landing gear may have been mis-rigged and prevented a positive downlock of the LH MLG assembly.
