From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On August 28, 2001, at 1515 PDT, a horizon air flight 2185 experienced a "stiffness" in the roll control of the aircraft shortly after departing klamath falls, Oregon and continued to their planned destination of Portland, Oregon. Enroute to Portland the crew reviewed the roll control jam checklist in case the controls did jam. The crew then decided to pull the roll disconnect handle and determined that the right control wheel was the stiff control. They then re-engaged the roll control disconnect handle. The flight landed without further incident at Portland at 1615 PDT. There were no injuries to the crew or passengers. Other: a letter is being prepared to send to horizon asking them to re-evaluate the adequacy of their manual procedures as relates to the following: enroute emergency notification (flight crew to company), and internal company emergency notification (department to department).
