From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot was performing high speed taxi runs lifting off runway approximately 10 to 20 ft. AGL to get a feel of the controls on his experimental aircraft. According to the pilot, the aircraft would not settle down to the runway on his last practice high speed taxi. The aircraft did settle into runway with about 400 ft. left till the end of the runway. The pilot stated he used all 400 ft. and braked the aircraft past the end of the runway into some grass. The right wing leading edge just outboard of the wing attach points contacted a small bush that created minor leading damage to the foam and composite construction of the wing. The damage did not extend into structural spar of the wing. No injuries were reported.
