From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The aircraft was repositioning from marianna, Florida to Eufaula, Alabama very early in the morning, just before dawn. With just the crew on board, the crew was cleared for a visual approach and cancelled the IFR flight plan. There was a thin layer of fog or mist around the Eufaula, airport. The aircraft circled for runway 36. On close final, the landing lights were turned to the on position and then turned off because of the glare. The taxi light was then turned to the on position. A swooshing noise was heard as the aircraft went through some trees on the approach to the runway. A flight check with the pilot and an FAA inspector has been accomplished on 10/09/2001, and was satisfactorily accomplished.
