From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) While taxiing in from a check ride at Lakeland linder regional airport, the left landing gear separated from the aircraft. During the investigation the left aft shaft pin (Cessna p/n 5041107-2) was found, undamaged, rolling around in the wing area aft of the landing gear attach point. The slotted pin (p/n NAS561P4-28) was found intact, installed in the strut assembly. The left forward shaft pin was found broken, with one half in the airframe fitting and the other half properly locked in the strut assembly.
