From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot stated enroute from Ohio to mco aircraft lost electrical power resulting in a deviation to sfb. The landing gear was lowered via pumping hyd. Pump. The engine was shut down before landing and battery power was off because the pilot was concerned about having a fire as result of electrical problem. With no indication that the landing gear was completely down and locked, the pilot held the nose high during landing and scrapped the tail on the runway. The pilot indicated the main landing gear was not completely extended and the left stabilizer and elevator sustained minor damage. This inspector notified the maintenance organization performing the repair for this aircraft and they will complete malfunction defect report.
