From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Iaw telephone conversation with the pilot (ray t. hicks), he was cleared for a touch & go using rwy 36. During the roll following the landing, the acft was pushed (blown, lifted) to the front right quarter. He corrected but, the acft went to the left and off the rwy into the grass area. While on the grass area, he applied power to get the acft back to the rwy. Once the acft was back on the rwy, he then taxied to the FBO (Flint aviation services, inc.). At the FBO, damage the RH wing tip fairing and prop blades (both tips bent backwards) was observed. It has not been determined where (rwy or grass area) the acft damages were sustained during the period of time that the pilot mismanaged the controls.
