From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Dala flight 1274 diverted to pittsburgh pa. Because there was confusion by (ASI) aircraft service international, who fueled the aircraft in cvg. As part of the procedure for inoperative fuel indicator, the fuel tank of the inoperative fuel indicator has to be dipped to verify the quantity prior to flight. Apparently ASI in cvg, dipped the wrong fuel tank, causing the dala maintenence to divert the flight to pittsburgh so the proper fuel tank could be dipped for safety reasons. No further defects were found with this fuel system, and the aircraft was returned to service after maintenance dipped the proper fuel tank in pit. Submission of this report closes this incident.
