(.19) On April 25, 2002, at 1536 central daylight time, a Cessna 560, N560RP, was substantially damaged during a bounced landing on runway 08 (3,058 feet by 50 feet, asphalt) at the Lake In The Hills Airport (3CK), lake in the Hills, Illinois. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The 14 CFR part 135 positioning flight was operating on an instrument flight rules flight plan. The pilot and copilot were uninjured. The flight originated from 3CK, at 0954, and made two stops prior to returning to 3CK. (-23) this was the pic's first short field landing in the CE-560 aircraft. During the landing, aircraft had a firm first contact with all three wheels contacting the ground, the thrust reversers were deployed as the aircraft bounced airborne. Aircraft contacted the ground hard again and porpoised. The aircraft contacted the ground a total of 5 times with each bounce getting the aircraft higher before impact. On the 5th contact with the ground, the force of the impact broke the nose wheel landing gear and the aircraft came to rest on the runway. This sequence was observed by another pilot on th e ground who was qualified in this aircraft.
