From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On April 26, 2002, N9518T, CE-210 landed with the nose gear in the up and down locked position. The pilot had tried numerous times to get the gear down including the use of the emergency hand pump. The gear doors and the main landing gear would extend and lock. The nose gear would not move. Upon landing, the aircraft was raised and the nose gear up lock released allowing the gear to come down. It was determined the uplock actuator had malfunctioned. Damage to the aircraft was limited to the engine exhaust stacks, nose gear doors and the propeller. The NTSB was notified and the aircraft was released to the owner. Operator to complete a mdr.
