What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Mr. Pete warren, the pilot in command of Cessna N2809Q, landed over halfway down the runway with excessive airspeed because he felt he may encounter wind shear due to the strong winds out NE. He stated that he did not encounter any wind shear on the approach to touchdown past midfield. He stated that he did not use braking initially but noticed as he approached the end of the runway that he was traveling fast and started to brake the aircraft using heavy braking. He stated the aircraft did not come to a stop as expected and that he went off the end of the runway into soft dirt, and then over an embankment.
