From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot alan coxon and passenger were landing at friends farm field, located approximately 5 NM southwest of Tumtum, WA. General meteorological conditions in the area were scattered clouds 4800 feet AGL and winds 150 degrees at 7 knots. Pilot reported that immediately on landing left main gear swung up and hit the left wing strut. The right gear came off shortly thereafter and the aircraft flipped over on its back. The left wing spars had the fittings at the fuselage end ripped out of the spar. The engine is canted to the right and the top cabin structure is damaged. The top of the rudder is damaged. The tab on the left main gear that attaches to the gear bungee that holds the gear in position and supplies snubbing action of the gear separated on landing. It appears that there was a small crack in this tab (10% of tear length).
