From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot states he left spanish fork Utah to do touch and go landings at Provo Municipal Airport. He stated he put the gear and flaps down on downwind leg and everything appeared normal. He stated he rechecked the gear down on final, and once again all appeared normal. He said the landing was smooth and after about 80 yards on landing roll, the aircraft tilted to th e left and experienced a prop strike. Shortly thereafter, he states he experienced a full collapsed gear, skid landing. Inspection of the aircraft revealed the right and left main landing gear inner doors were heavily damaged, ground off. The aircraft appeared to slide on the MLG inner doors and the entry step. The damage pattern indicates the main landing gear was almost up or coming down when the aircraft touched the runway. There was no indication the landing gear malfunctioned.
