What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) I assisted NTSB investigator deddie eckrote of the seattle NTSB office. The aircraft departed pullman, WA enroute to sandpoint, ID, a distance of 110 statue miles. The on scene investigation revealed the aircraft impacted the ground in an uncontrolled, left wing attitude. It was determined at the scene that the pilot was not wearing a seat belt or shoulder harness. Both propellers show signs of both engines producing little or no power. On 7-8-2002, an engine teardown inspection was conducted on both engines with a Continental engine representative and the NTSB. Nothing was found to indicate any mechanical malfunction of the engines, with the exception there was an absence of fuel in the fuel system in areas where fuel should have been present. An autopsy was performed on the pilot with negative findings. No evidence of pilot incapacitation could be found.
