From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On July 5, 2002, at 1508LCL, a Cessna 150 N222PA serial #15078669, registered to a Mr. Robert l. seidl certificate #388822343 experienced an interruption in engine power while cruising at 6000 feet MSL. He was the sole occupant of the aircraft and was en route from grb to medford. Weather at the time was VFR. The aircraft made a precautionary landing at cwa after declaring an emergency with minneapolis ARTCC. The aircraft did not sustain any damage and an uneventful landing was made. Pilot indicated he departed green bay (grb), climbed to 6000 MSL, leveled off and set mixture, shortly thereafter the engine became intermittent. Cab heat was applied, power remained intermittent. Pilot declared an emergency and was vectored to (cwa). The aircraft systems were inspected and operational testing was accomplished with no abnormalities noted. At the time of the incident conditions were consistent with the formation of carb ice. Pilot was counseled on carb ice procedures.
