From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) July 17, 2002 - aircraft force landed one mile north of Concord, CA rnw 19R final at 171840PDT due to engine problems. Pilot stated that the aircraft was on a five mile straight-in final for landing on 19, and developed engine problem. Upon reduction of power setting the engine started to run rough. Power was reapplied and the engine ran normally for a few seconds and began to run rough again. The fuel flow was low, and the engine would not respond to throttle inputs beyond the idle. The aux pump was re-cycled, fuel tanks switched. The mixture was cycled along with the throttle. Pilot determined to land in the county field. Inspection of the engine revealed that the diaphragm in the fuel servo had failed, blocking the flow to the engine.
