What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) The pilot stated that he attempted to wheel land the aircraft on runway 16. After touchdown, the aircraft began veering to the left and the pilot applied right brake. However, his remedial action was inadequate to return the aircraft to runway heading and during his attempt to maintain directional control, the right main landing gear wheel and hub assembly broke away from the lower right strut area. The aircraft settled on its lower right wing tip. Compression damage was incurred to the three outer wing ribs and bays.
