From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) After further investigation at wes air in opf, this office found that the engine exhausted all of the oil through the hose that is between the turbocharger and the back of the engine. Hose is an aero quip/asa p/n AE663039HO186, lw 848/83/186, PT-4-89/telflon, TSO-C53A, PSI 1500/00624 type d size 8. Small shavings were found in the oil filters and no metal was found in the prop governor. Hose was distorted by heat and mechanical contact where the hole was located. Certified engines of opa Locka will tear down the engine and service it for possible return to service condition.
