From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft was on ramp area awaiting a gate when the f/o smelled smoke. Aircraft did not respond to nose wheel steering nor rudder pedal steering. The right pack failed and the stick shaker was activated. Aircraft was shut down and the crew and 4 pax deplaned on the ramp. This was not an evacuation. Problem: the right landing gear proximity sensor malfunctioned causing both a/c pack fans to become inoperative. Corrective action: replaced right main landing gear sensor and harness. Aircraft was returned to service. This incident is closed.
