From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Subject aircraft departed runway 07 at bqk for local flight with two occupants onboard. The combined weight of both occupants was approximately 510 pounds, according to the pilot's son. This fact, coupled with the fact that the airplane was full of fuel, indicates the aircraft had exceeded its gross weight. After lift-off, the aircraft reached an altitude of approximately 400-600 feet before it could no longer produce lift. The aircraft impacted the ground approximately 2000 feet from the departure end of the runway resulting in post-impact fire.
