From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On take-off the flight crew noted an unusual buzz noise along with reports from the tower and several other aircraft of a number two engine fire. The take-off was aborted at between 50 to 60 knots and the aircraft exited the runway onto a taxiway. The flight crew fired both engine fire bottles followed by foam from the fire department. Segments from the first stage compressor stator exited the engine and cowl on the outboard side. An eductor fuel line was cut which provided fuel for the fire. A tear down of the engine will be performed at a later date.
