From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilots statement stated that touch down on the main landing gear was normal and on roll out the nose gear collapsed. Landing gear retraction was performed by maint. Personnel and the investigation revealed that the landing gear was in transion mode at the time of the gear collapse. There was no system or component failure. This inspector believes the pilot inadvertently retracted the landing gear on landing roll out thinking they were the flaps that he retracted. The electrical switches for landing gear and the flaps are identical and are located on the instrument panel.

As the FAA filed it
