From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On Saturday August 21, 2002 at approximately 1010 am local time, N141CJ an F8L falco piloted by Mr. John h. harns, the aircraft owner, landed at the Coeur d'Alene, ID airport (coe) with all three landing gear collapsing during the roll out. The pilot stated that during an instrument approach to coe, an unsafe gear indication was noted when the gear was selected to the down position. The pilot flew to felts field, WA (sff) to have the tower personnel check on the status of the landing gear as he was unable to either extend or retract the landing gear. Sff tower personnel confirmed that the nose gear appeared to be other than down and locked. The pilot elected to return to coe for landing as coe is the aircraft home base. Upon landing at coe, the landing gear collapsed shortly after landing and the aircraft slid approximately 200 to 300 feet with minimal damage to the aircraft. Damage limited to cowling, nose gear door, nose gear trunnion, propeller tip damage, pitot tube damage, and limited damage to underside of r/h wing tip.
