From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The aircraft (N6092M) was started, by Mr. Edmondson, and taxied into another aircraft on the ramp (N3737U). The left wing tip of N6092M struck the right propeller of N3737U causing the aircraft to swerve into the left wing and engine cowling of N3737U. The leading edge of the left wing of N3737U was cut open by the propeller strike. The gust lock was still installed in N6092M and the pitot cover was directly below the pitot tube, neither had been removed before the aircraft was started. There was also evidence that N3737U had been tampered with. Due to criminal activity, there was no NTSB participation.
