From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) N340FS performed a visual approach to runway 04 after a IFR flight from princeton, NJ (39N). Approximately 2 seconds after touchdown, the pilot informed the tower that he thought he had blown a tire. The right main landing gear collapsed at that time. Approximately 2000 feet down the runway, the airplane exited to the right into the grass and struck a runway light. It came to rest approximately 40 ft from the edge of the runway.
