From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Landing gear collapsed on landing during the conduct of a practical test in a multiengine airplane. Both the applicant and pilot examiner stated the landing gear handle was placed in the down position and the landing gear extended on the downwind leg for landing. Both confirmed the landing gear lights indicated the landing gear down and locked. Upon landing, the aircraft settled onto it's belly causing substantial damage to both propellers and flaps. The aircraft was raised from the ground and the landing gear cycled. The landing lights, in transient light, and landing gear appeared to function normally.
