From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot had to de-ice the aircraft before flight. I asked him how it was done and said he used alcohol, fuel sumps were drained and no water but did get fuel. He hand propped the engine before starting and started the engine, performed the required checks, all were normal. Received tower clearance for runway 23. About 800 to 1000 feet altitude lost engine power. Pilot made a right turn back to the airport and made an emergency landing on taxiway delta hitting hard and skidding over 100 feet shearing the left main landing gear and gear door off causing substantial damage to the aircraft.
