From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The landing gear partially dropped but didn't completely come down and back. The pilot had total electrical failure and was trying to manually extend gear. The pilot contacted ric for assistance. Upon inspection by a local mechanic, it was discovered that the starter had shorted to ground, causing aircraft to lose electrical power completely. Further investigation of the landing gear system revealed that the left main gear actuator cylinder seized about 2/3 way down causing landing gear not to extend fully. After final examination of the aircraft, malfunction defect reports will be submitted.
