From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft landed gear up on runway 21 at N81. Pilot stated that he had three green gear indications on downwind to runway 21. Pilot did not remember verifying the gear down on short final. An inspection of the aircraft as it sat on the runway showed that the nose gear door closed and the nose gear in the well. Both mains were down about 2 to 3 inches. There was no damage to the main gear doors or wheels. Aircraft was raised and the landing gear was lowered with out any problem. Aircraft was moved to a hangar and the landing gear was cycled eight times. On all eight extensions all three gears did lock in the down position with three green lights. Pilot also stated that he did not hear a gear horn. He also stated that he had 10 degree of flaps down. Aircraft flight manual states ---"activates a warning horn and light whenever the flaps are extended beyond the approach position (10 degree) and the landing gear is not down and locked". privacy data omitted This incident considered closed.
