From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Arrived at Hodges air park aircraft N13591 was on the overrun of the runway, facing back towards the runway it landed on, 180 degrees from landing direction, the grass landing strip is approximately 2980 feet long. Four touchdown impacts were observed on the surface of the grass strip. The first was approximately 587 feet from impact site. The right wing spar is broken and the wing is hanging loose. The right wing root had buckled and all fuel had leaked out. Right wing tip and outer section of right aileron had departed aircraft on impact with the trees, but remained at the scene. Left wing leading edge had tree impact damage just outboard of wing attach strut. Left wing tip had separated and was hanging by it's wiring. Flaps were in the full down position. Engine cowling was still attached to aircraft, but had been torn open exposing the engine. Spinner and propeller were still attached to the crankshaft. Crankshaft was bent down, with the lower propeller blade bent back into the engine shroud. The engine was pushed back and down into it's engine mounts.
