From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During landing, pilot lost sight of the runway when he turned base to final. When he reacquired it he was over half way down the runway and elected to attempt the landing. He touched down 4500 feet down the 6000 foot runway. This left 1500 feet of usable runway to land. Aircraft touched down and was unable to stop on the remaining runway. Aircraft left the end of the runway and stopped will off the runway end after colliding with runway end lights.
