From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During taxi from hanger to fuel pumps aircraft was on taxiway when a telephone man hole cover broke as aircraft weight was on it. Man hole cover was reported cracked to the airport authority the day before but was not repaired. Left main wheel broke through man hole cover and the wheel dropped 12-14 inches. Aircraft made sharp turn to the left (rotating around left gear) which then over stressed the nose wheel. Nose wheel broke off to the right side of aircraft. The aircraft then pitched forward onto the nose cone and both engine props hit the taxiway. Some minor damage was sustained by the left main wheel and brake when aircraft sunk into the man hole.
