From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft was enroute from CA to IA, stopped at Bear lake co. airport (1U7) for fuel and lunch. At approximately 1200 MDT aircraft departed 1U7, after takeoff initiated gear retraction, nothing happened, gear indication lights remained 3 in-the-green. Several more gear retraction sequences were initiated with same result. The pilot indicated that he could not hear the landing gear pump working, still having a gear indication of 3 in-the-green he elected to return to 1U7 and do a precautionary landing. During the landing the nose gear touched down and collapsed and aircraft slid to a stop. There were three on board no injuries were sustained.
