From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On first attempt to land the pilot decided to go around due to a glider and tow plane clearing the runway. Witnesses stated that the landing gear was down on the first attempt but in the up position during his second approach. On the second attempt the pilot stated he put the landing gear handle down but failed to check the gear light for verification that the gear was down and locked. The aircraft skidded on the runway for approximately 300-325 feet before it departed the runway to the right and skidded on the dirt for another 75 feet before stopping with the left wing extending three to four feet onto the runway. There were no injuries and no fire. This incident report will be turned over to the spm and the ops. Supervisor.
