From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The crew reported that the marshaller and wing walker both signaled the gate was clear and the crew proceeded into the gate. As they approached the stopping point they felt a shutter and then were given the emergency stop, from ground crew. The crew stated that they shut down the aircraft and got out of the aircraft, they noticed a damaged container, left-winger tip and forward slat. The fedex flight safety officer performed a safety debrief with the crew and the captain was given a line check by the company.
