From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 07/17/03 I investigated the accident of aircraft N9110T a buccaneer ii. All flight controls were checked for continuity and found operative. A visual inspection of the fuel tanks, fuel valve and sump ports were performed. Fuel samples were taken. No water was present at the time of the fuel system inspection. Further investigation revealed the throttle cable had broken at the carburetor connection. The left main gear separated at the keel beam attach point. The left flap was damaged due to the propeller striking it on impact. Examination of the crash site revealed the airplane collided with the ground in a nose down left wing low attitude. The left wing was compressed aft and sustained accordion crush from the wing root extending outboard.
