From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot (alone) experienced a fuel system failure and lost power while flying in the Paulden, AZ area. He was attempting to make an emergency landing @ AZ57. He could get the engine to run on the "primer" which is hand operated but once he stopped operating the primer, the engine would again quit. As he approached the landing site, the a/c appears to have stalled-flat attitude-and impacted the ground in a flat attitude causing substantial damage. The pilot received a broken back. There was no post-crash fire. Paulden, AZ is located approx. 10 miles north of chino valley, AZ on hywy #89.
