From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Landing gear was selected to down position for landing. They did not get a down and lock indication for the left hand main landing gear. Several failed attempts were made to get the landing gear to the down and locked position. They did a fly-by the tower for a visual check on the position of the landing gear and it appeared to the tower that it was down. During final approach they shut down the engine and landed. Upon landing the gear stayed in the down position for a short time, then collapsed. Minor damage occurred to the left hand wing tip and aileron. The left hand flap received the most damage. Maintenance is in the process of correcting the malfunction and repairing the damage.
