From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) On walk around, damage was noted to the single point refueling connection and manifold under the right wing refueling bay. Maintenance removed the damaged fuel manifold tube and hose connector and below support brakes. Replaced fuel manifold tube, hose connector and broken support brackets. Leak checks were good. The fueler had the hoses hooked up to the aircraft but not at the fueling pit. It appears he proceeded to reposition the fueling cart while the hoses were still connected to the aircraft. The fueler was suspended pending drug and alcohol results.
