From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) BE-58 Beech baron landed gear up on runway 23 at the Sylvania, GA, Plantation airpark (kjyl). Evidence indicates that the right propeller contacted the runway at the 1,000 foot marker. The aircraft was then pulled back into the air where the aircraft came back into contact approximately 750 feet further down the runway from the first prop marks. During the course of the second touch down, the landing gear was caught in transient (unlocked position) and collapsed as aircraft weight came down on the gear. The runway was dry, measuring 5,000 x 100 feet, well marked. Weather was VMC with reported conditions as wind 220/06 knots 10 sm visibility, few clouds at 2,500 feet, temperature 29 degrees c, dew point 24 degrees c. altimeter 29.98.
