From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot Mr. Roy simoneau was performing the first of the required aircraft phase 1 flight test of his experimental amateur-built sky star kit fox classic iv, N10224. He stated that the aircraft's taxi, run-up, take-off and flight for approximately 20 minutes went well. He returned to the airport to practice the landing approaches to runway 11 at Limington-Harmon airport. On the third (3) normal approach he touched down, tail wheel first, then the main gear and the aircraft immediately veered to the right. The aircraft departed the runway, continued through the right side apron, and into the heavily wood area to the right. The aircraft came to rest nosed into the small trees. Several people helped with the removal of the aircraft and a trailer was used to transport the aircraft to the hanger area.
