What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) privacy data omitted pilot was flying from lake minchumina to fairbanks after his hunting trip. Pilot was flying using the fuel in left wing tank only until that tank went dry. He then switched to his right tank (right wing tank was full). 10 min after switching to the right wing tank, the a/c began to lose power and then went down resulting in a crash landing. Pilot commented, in hindsight he should not have ran engine until one wing tank was dry. The pilot was very helpful and forthcoming.
