From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) This accident was discovered when a special flight permit was requested to transport the aircraft to a maintenance facility for repairs. Inspection of the damage indicated that the main spar and of the left wing sustained substantial damage. The pilot reported that during his landing on runway 21 at sdl, he lost directional control of the aircraft as the nosewheel touched down. The aircraft pulled sharply to the left at which point the pilot added power, became airborne again and next touched down on the adjacent taxiway, hit and destroyed the 6,000 foot distance remaining sign located just north of B-12. The pilot later contacted the maintenance facility at corporate jets (sdl) and they determined that repairs would be required, but declined to do so. The pilot stated that he had no difficulty taxiing the aircraft after making contact with the sign and that he proceeded to the aircraft parking area. The accident was reported to the NTSB by a sdl FSDO ASI. The Scottsdale airport operations department, upon request, did produce an incident report on 1/30/2004, documenting this as an incident dated, 10/12/2003. No report prior to 1/30/2004 could be found.

As the FAA filed it
