From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

However investigation found the following: on 02 dec 2003 at approx 1500 hrs local time aircraft N1009M landed at pdk airport on runway 2. The pilot and co-pilot reported they felt the plane pulling to the left. In an effort to keep the aircraft straight the pilot applied the rt rudder and brake then applied maximum braking in an effort to stop. The brakes locked up and both main tires were blown.
