From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot departed indpls metropolitan airport (ump), with enroute stop to indpls executive airport (tyq), then filed an IFR flight to kmdw for angel flight pickup of patient. Pilot was notified by mdw tower that gear doors were open, but that landing gear appeared not to be down. Pilot elected to abandon stop at kmdw and return to Indianapolis area and so advised mdw approach of intentions. Shortly after departing mdw area pilot experienced loss of all electrical power and informed mdw approach of electrical power failure via cell phone. Arrived at tyq at approximately 1120L, held at altitude to burn off cell. Landed gear up at tyq with minor aircraft damage and no injury. Reason for failure of landing gear to extend, and loss of all electrical power is still under investigation.
