From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The aircraft experienced what is believed to be a pilot induced oscillation ("lateral pio"). During a light crosswind landing, roll correction for a slight, uncommanded right bank were made at approximately 50-100 feet AGL. Almost immediately, the aircraft began a rapid, uncommanded roll to the left. Corrections for this second roll resulted in an increased sink rate. Due to the prevailing weather conditions, captain cummings established a go-around pitch altitude visually, with no visible horizon. During the go-around maneuver the aft underbody of the aircraft scraped runway 5R. Information about this event has been given to the sea aeg/faa flight test.

As the FAA filed it
