What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Having successfully landed and taken off from a frozen lake earlier in the day, the pilot attempted a second landing approximately an hour later. The wind had shifted between landings and the pilot landed with a tailwind. Solar warming of the ice had left standing water on the surface, substantially reducing traction. The combination of tailwind and slick surface resulted in overrunning the landing area. The aircraft struck muskeg on the lake shore and nosed over.
