From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Upon landing to the northwest of rwy 32 and after rollout, the aircraft slowed down to turn around in the middle of the runway. The aircraft became too close to the east side of the runway which caused the left wing to impact a large pine tree at the landing light area. The impact caused the aircraft to yaw to the left and drop into a shallow ditch. There were no injuries to the sole pilot. The pilot then used a small tractor to remove the aircraft from the ditch and tow it to the tiedown area. Damage is as follows: left wing was twisted aft causing a bent spar and buckling of the upper and lower wing skins and internal structure. The left wing flap was buckled. The landing/taxi light lens and support housing are crushed.
