From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The captain stated that he was attempting a 180 degree left turn from parking. The steering tiller was full throw for a left turn and the aircraft needed to turn tighter which necessitated the use of differential braking. While attempting to apply brakes the captain realized the brakes had failed. He could not make the entire 180 degree turn nor could he stop the aircraft. The second officer stated he was trying to assist the captain with braking and he had no brakes either. The right wing of the aircraft (N334AC) struck the right vertical stabilizer of aircraft N336MV. With this report incident privacy data omitted is considered closed. System failure.
