From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot and instructor were participating in flight training for the "wings program". After completing a landing at the Visalia airport, a departure was made for left traffic and another landing on runway 30. While on downwind and on final, the instructor was taking notes, reference the previous landing, while the pilot was flying the aircraft for another landing to runway 30 at Visalia. Neither pilot noted that the landing gear had not been lowered, subsequently, the pilot landed on runway 30 with the landing gear up. Damage to the aircraft was minor, limited to the under skin, the propeller and a minor scrap on the wing tip. There were no injuries to the two pilots.
